Kitchens > Frum Project

Old world patina meets modern day sensibilities in this large, open space. Combining a large working kitchen and full family room, the three level island helps define the space into two distinct spaces. The family room and island cabinetry is a custom stained maple wood which gives the appearance of our “Desert Rose” stain on cherry wood. A secondary island is located in the kitchen center and acts as an additional prep area. Cabinetry inserts such as pull-outs, cutlery dividers, and tilt trays found in these cabinets help to maximize each one’s usefulness. The center island’s countertop is an “Uba Tuba” granite and offsets from the “Rosewood” granite color used on all the other surfaces. The perimeter cabinetry features a painted birch finish with an “Oatmeal” glaze accentuated with streaking with rubbed edges. These finish selections give the face of the cabinets a mature, antiqued look. All of these techniques are done by hand and insure that no two fronts are exactly alike. Functionally, this section includes a custom mantle hood, oversized height cabinets utilizing the space’s tall ceilings, and a desk nook for daily family use.

The family room features examples of some of our most requested built-in units: an angled entertainment center, fireplace surround, and bookcases. Units like these are where custom cabinetry overshadows the competition. Every built-in we make is sized to complement each customer’s components and flexible media storage solutions are available. Each one is constructed in the same manner as our Mountaineer WoodCraft cabinetry, insuring a long lasting piece of furniture. Working with your design specialist, you’ll be able to use a wide variety of accents and components in creating a truly bespoke design for every room in your home.
