Located in north central West Virginia, Mountaineer WoodCraft has been meeting the surrounding market’s cabinetry needs for over 55 years.
Founded in 1964, the company has grown from a well known, full service retail kitchen and bath store into a custom cabinet manufacturer with a dealer network throughout the mid-Atlantic region.
Family owned and operated, our goal is to always keep the customer and their families at the forefront. Whether we work with you locally or through one of our many dealers, we hope our cabinets enrich your home today and for many joyous memories to come.
Mountaineer WoodCraft differentiates itself from the market by redefining the standards for quality and craftsmanship. With over 55 years of experience and a consumer friendly approach, we provide a quality hand built product designed and created just for you.
Our hardwoods are grown in North America and we use no particle board or furniture core material in any of our products. Our cabinets feature select grade hardwoods with all wood construction. They also include solid dovetailed drawer boxes. These utilize standard full extension drawer tracks with an integrated soft close feature. We offer 14 standard wood species with the ability to accommodate any custom specie.
Strategic partnerships are increasingly becoming a vital element of businesses’ corporate growth strategies with many owners setting aside 20 percent of their assets or more to developing and maintaining partnerships.
You too can benefit your business growth by working together with Mountaineer Woodcraft, here’s how:
Chester gained years of experience in the carpentry industry, where he became a Master Carpenter.
In 1964, he started his own Kitchen & Bath design, sales, & installation firm. Later in 1979 he started making his own cabinets, and soon after he formed the Mountaineer WoodCraft company.
The company grew from a local manufacturer to include a network of dealers in the Pittsburgh area.
In 2002 he retired, but still continues to have a presence in the shop and provide knowledge and expertise, when needed.
His attention to detail and craftsmanship have helped shape the company into what it is today.
Trudy is the daughter of Chester Damico.

He is now the lead Foreman of the shop and oversees all manufacturing.
In conjunction with running the rough mill, assembly, and finishing departments, he became a co-owner in 2002; further helping the company with his extensive experience and knowledge of cabinetry and machinery.
He continues to build many custom items on a daily basis.
